Creatine is a nitrogen-containing compound naturally produced in the body from the amino acids arginine, glycine, and methionine, primarily in the liver and brain. Besides being produced internally, creatine can also be obtained from dietary sources like red meat and seafood or through supplementation.

Creatine plays a crucial role in cellular energy production by regenerating adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy carrier in cells. During high-intensity exercise, ATP is rapidly consumed and must be quickly replenished. Creatine phosphate donates a phosphate group to adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to form ATP, allowing for sustained energy production.

Extensively researched, creatine monohydrate is proven to enhance muscle mass and lean body mass, particularly with resistance training. It boosts muscle performance, strength, endurance, and power, making it a valuable supplement for anyone looking to elevate their fitness regimen. Additionally, creatine aids in faster recovery from exercise, reducing muscle soreness and improving overall recovery time.

Studies have shown that creatine supplementation can enhance memory performance, especially in older adults. Increased brain creatine stores may contribute to better cognition and memory, particularly during times of metabolic stress, such as sleep deprivation.

Arcwell® Creatine Monohydrate is the most effective and bioavailable form of creatine, known for significantly boosting plasma creatine levels and increasing creatine content in the brain and muscles. This leads to enhanced performance outcomes.

Arcwell® Creatine Monohydrate guarantees 100% purity and is micronized for easy absorption, ensuring you get the most out of every serving.

Recommended use:

+ Increases body lean muscle mass when used in conjunction with a resistance training regimen.

+ Improves strength/power/performance in repetitive bouts of brief, highly-intense physical activity (e.g. sprints, jumping, resistance training) by increasing intramuscular creatine/phosphocreatine/energy levels.

Recommended dose:

Adults 18 and over: 1 scoop 1-4 times per day. Mix 1 scoop into 200 to 250 mL of cold beverage (water, juice, smoothie etc.) immediately before consumption.

Start with a Loading phase of 5-7 days: 1 scoop 3 to 4 times per day (15-20 g)

Follow with a Maintenance phase: 1 scoop 1 time per day (5 g)

+ Ask a health care practitioner before use if you have kidney disorder, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  May result in weight gain.

Keep out of reach of children. Store sealed in a cool dry place. Use only if the safety seal is intact.

Fuel Your Strength, Empower Your Health

Message by founder

As the founder of Arcwell and a user of our products, I am committed to ensuring their quality and effectiveness. Creatine, combined with resistance exercises, is crucial for promoting health span through muscle mass gain, repair, and maintenance.

After the age of forty, we lose about 1% of muscle mass each year without preventive measures. Therefore, incorporating resistance exercises and high-purity, micronized creatine is vital in my health regimen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mix creatine monohydrate with water or a non-acidic beverage. For optimal absorption, take it with a carbohydrate-rich meal or post-workout shake.

Taking creatine post-workout is beneficial as your muscles are more receptive to nutrients after exercise. Consuming it with a carbohydrate-rich meal or shake can further enhance absorption by increasing insulin levels, which helps transport creatine into muscle cells. Studies have shown that the presence of insulin, stimulated by carbohydrate ingestion, enhances the uptake of creatine into muscles. This synergy between carbohydrates and creatine maximizes nutrient uptake, enhancing muscle recovery and performance. This is why it is often recommended to take creatine with a carbohydrate-rich meal or post-workout shake for optimal absorption and effectiveness.

Yes, older adults can benefit from creatine supplementation. It helps maintain muscle mass, improve physical performance, and support cognitive function.

Research has shown that creatine supplementation in older adults can enhance muscle strength and endurance, reduce muscle loss associated with aging, and improve overall physical performance. Additionally, creatine may support brain health by improving cognitive functions such as memory and processing speed. From a clinical and healthy aging perspective, it is recommended that creatine supplementation be combined with resistance training to produce the greatest adaptations in older adults.

Human clinical trials indicate that long-term creatine use is safe for healthy individuals when taken at recommended dosages. Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen.

Yes, creatine can cause temporary water retention in the muscles, leading to a slight increase in body weight. This occurs because creatine draws water into muscle cells, which can enhance muscle hydration and size. This effect is typically not harmful and often diminishes with continued use as the body adjusts to the supplementation. The increased water content in muscles can also contribute to improved muscle function and performance during high-intensity exercise.

Yes, creatine has been shown to support brain health and improve cognitive function. Long-term high-dosage supplementation can increase brain creatine stores, enhancing cognition and memory, particularly in older adults and during times of metabolic stress like sleep deprivation.

A study involving 45 young adult vegetarians demonstrated that oral creatine supplementation (5g/day for six weeks) significantly improved working memory and intelligence test scores, highlighting the importance of brain energy capacity in cognitive performance. It also aids recovery from traumatic brain injury in children and may reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. However, it does not significantly benefit conditions like Parkinson’s disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
